This is an extremely well made piano from the Art Nouveau period. The piano is a double curved grand piano - meaning there is a curve on both sides of the instrument. Cast into the frame is "Popp designed", this follows the trend of many of the popular makers who used artists and architects to invent new and exciting ways to present pianos. Josef Popp was an architect, artist and designer from the Bauhaus school, and was a contemporary of Bruno Paul, who designed new and exciting pianos for Ibach.
